Lady LINAC
ANONYMOUS
Oh lady LINAC, how I don’t love you so,
Your gentle whirring and buzzing showing you’re ready to go.
I know it’s important I lie silent and still,
For you’re doing your best to find cancer cells to kill.
I’ve been writing this poem 20 mins at a time,
Because when we’re together I’m devising this rhyme.
Oh Lady LINAC I thought our time would be hell,
But really you’ve treated me pretty well.
You are always looking so spick and span,
Fine tuned to deliver the beams that only you can.
This mask, sometimes it fills me with dread,
But I know it’s only a matter of time until those cells are dead.
Oh Lady LINAC it’s time to part ways,
For I’ve done my time under your gaze.
But Lady LINAC don’t you feel any sorrow,
Because I know I’ll be back to see you tomorrow.
